When it comes to stoner flicks no-one will ever beat Cheech & Chong, they are geniuses of the genre, but director David Gordon Green is really beginning to establish himself into the weed movie scene.
With the massive success of Pineapple Express under his belt, I’m sure he’s hoping for a similar story when his new marijuana movie Your Highness is released.
Once again David is teaming up with James Franco and Danny McBride to bring a story set in medieval times about two brothers, Fabious (Franco), a courageous and noble knight, the other is Thadeous (McBride), a deadbeat slob who spends his time getting high on wizard weed.
Your Highness: Warriors, Weed & Wizards
When Fabious’s bride to be (the splendid Zooey Deschanel) is kidnapped, they must band together and rescue her with the help of a warrior (the totally hot Natalie Portman).
Franco, McBride and Green are also working together on Eastbound & Down, which is currently enjoying some success on HBO.
The first trailer is jam packed with laughs, both rude and clever, and includes Natalie Portman looking hotter than ever before. Quite frankly – the girl is sizzling. Check it out…
Your Highness promises action, laughs and ye olde stoner jokes…plus dragons – both fire breathing and the Puff The Magic kind – and is set to hit US cinemas in April 2011 (but was originally scheduled for release on October 1 2010), with an Aussie release date not long after that.

And while we know James Franco as “The Stoner From Pineapple Express” or “The Guy That Can’t Act In Spider-Man”… he was, at one point… James Dean!
