Wonder Woman, Superman and The Hulk : Movie News

Things are really hotting up in the superhero world this week, with Comic-Con unleashing some pretty major tidbits. We’ll try and keep you updated as it happens (the official unveiling of The Avengers team is this years biggest drawcard), but until we do – here’s some tasty morsels for ye scumballs!
WONDER WOMAN
After years of trying to get a Wonder Woman flick off the ground (you may remember Hamish & Andy’s gal pal Megan Gale had the role locked for George Miller’s Justice League movie which went belly up… “Seth Coen” was set to play The Flash in that too) it seems like the Amazonian warrior might finally be getting her time to shine.

Wonder Woman : Back On Board
According to The Playlist, David Goyer (who penned Batman Begins with Inception‘s Christopher Nolan) was the front runner to direct Superman : The Man Of Steel (which is also being produced by Nolan) but is now likely to be announced as the director of the new Wonder Woman flick which is set to his screens in 2013.
With Marvel raking in the cash, it seems inevitable that DC get their shit together and get their stable of characters on the big screen. What better way to start than a babe with bulletproof wrists…
THE INCREDIBLE HULK
As reported a few weeks ago, Edward Norton was dumped from Marvel’s The Avengers [Read the Full Story Here] as Bruce Banner / The Hulk with suggestions the role could be taken by former Dr Who David Tennant.
According to Deadline, Mark Ruffalo has officially signed on to the project to play Bruce Banner. The official line up will be revealed at Comic-Con, but it all seems to be locked in.

Mark Ruffalo : Will Have Lots of Sex If He Is The Hulk
It makes sense too, Ruffalo has a lock of Oscar heat on him for The Kids Are All Right and fits perfectly into Marvel’s “Quality Actors” thing they’ve got going on.
It also looks like Wheadon (director of The Avengers) might also announce Nathan Fillion as Ant-Man. These are still rumours – but rumours so close to the reveal date seem to suggest fact… that makes sense, right, your honour?
SUPERMAN RETURNS… AGAIN
The WB are desperate to get Superman going again. After Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns bombed, it seemed all hope was lost for the man in the underpants – however, now with Christopher Nolan taking over the producing reigns, the Man of Steel could be on our screens sooner than you think.

Superman : The Man of Steel
The front runner appears to be Christopher Nolan’s brother, Jonathon, who co-wrote The Dark Knight – however, David Goyer is also vying for a chance (despite the fact his previous directorial efforts like The Invisible sucked donkey balls) and the Wachowski brothers have also long been rumoured to take on Superman : The Man Of Steel.
Again, expect a Comic-Con announcement soon to clear all this rumour crud up!
Until then, let’s remember one of the crappiest Superhero incarnations…
