This inspiring tune,The Stairs, from London’s White Rose Movement brings with it an interesting perspective on what happens when you comine 30 years of popular music influence.
The Stairs evokes the vocal sensibilit of 80’s British post-punk, whilst grasping a firm hold of technological glam-rock evil. With the early inspiration of the iconic post-punk bands like Joy Division, they are also able to manage a Duran-Duran and Depeche Mode flavour that makes it more appealing.

Finn Vine’s vocals feature heavily in whether you will like this. So if you’re not really a fan of that laconic British drone vocal style I wouldn’t think that you’d find much appealing about this.
Although there is nothing fundamentally wrong with this song, it just doesn’t do enough. It promises quite a bit, and for a while you remain aurally glued for the big pay-off. But it just doesn’t come. However, it does show much in the way of promise, so I’m not giving up on them just yet.
