Have you ever seen those weird Viral Videos on the Internet that are borderline creepy, purely because A) they make you genuinely uncomfortable, and B) are downright non-sensical… well that’s Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! in a nutshell.
Back for third season (with word recently being leaked that the show has been renewed for a fifth season) this hilariously twisted show takes the idea of Public Access TV and Home Shopping ads and literally rapes them. Violently.

Tim and Eric sum it up best, saying the show is “Mindblowing genius in the tawdry wrapper of nauseating public access television”.
There is an art to making something look cheap, and you would really be amazed at how hard it actually is to make something look worse than it should be – but if you get it right, the comedy is ripe for the picking. Tim And Eric get it right…
From the absolutely superb “Muscles For Bones” telethon (really, it has to be seen to be believed, especially cult character “Richard Dunn”), to Child Clowns, to the surreal ending to the ad for the board game “It’s Not Jackie Chan”, John C Reilly’s borderline retarded pieces as Dr. Steve Brule, to an office relationship that goes insanely dark (how many comedy shows can you name that would actually show a man put a shotgun in his mouth and blow out the back of his own head) – the unpredictability of the program is unparalleled.
Alternative comedy fans will also be pleased to see plenty of comedians dropping by for cameos including SNL’s Will Forte, John Mayer, Maria Bamford, Patton Oswalt and of course Zach Galifianakis who is a standout as a teacher at a children’s acting course.
Keep an eye out for some masterful editing, sugar induced computer graphics and some of the finest performances from “non-actors” you are ever likely to see in your life. It really is a testament to what you can do in television with only a green screen and little-to-no script.
Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! is not for everyone (and never has that phrase been more correct) but if you’re like me and you love your comedy surreal then this is your one stop shop for weird.
Oh, and I almost forgot : “Congratulations Jackie Chan for 100 Years in show business, thanks for all of those special effects and chopping bricks”.
