Thor – Costumes, Sets and Logos : Movie News

When Iron Man hit screens in 2008, it literally changed the face of the Superhero Genre as we know it – not in regards to style or technique (although it was one of the best examples of how to make a Superhero movie before The Dark Knight came out) – but moreso because it promised something new in the future : Continuity.

Fanboys had spent years just assuming that Batman could ONLY be played by a revolving wheel of stars, but when the promise of The Avengers movies was thrown up – the floodgates of imagination opened. Since then, The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 2 have continued to weave together a Universe that will come to fruition in relative harmony (aside from Norton’s absense) – next up being Thor [WATCH THE FIRST OFFICIAL TRAILER HERE] and Captain America : The First Avenger.[See Costume Images Here]

There has been very little leaked about either movie [See Captain America's Costume Here], aside from bits, bobs and the teaser tags in the aforementioned Iron Man 2 movie. But now WATCH OUT FOR | MOVIES is able to unleash more Thor than your tiny brains can handle.

First up, let’s take a look at the man Thor himself – Aussie Chris Hemsworth – in the suit..

Not too shabby, right? It’s looking slick without looking cartoonish (which is strange considering that Thor is probably the most ridiculous of all The Avengers team). However, you may change your mind upon seeing the concept art…

Next up, let’s check out the official logos. Now, for many, this means about as much to you as a punch in the face – but as a long time logo nerd, this is sick balls.

Hmmm, two logos, both pretty snazzy. Let’s take a wild guess and say that there will be some changes by the time the first trailer rolls around.

Ok, what do we have next for you? Oh yes – a look at some of Thor’s buddies. This was one of the first “official” images to make it’s way online and features Anthony Hopkins (hair aflowin) as Odin, with Chris Hemsworth by his side as the main man, Thor (hammer in hand), and of course Tom Hiddleston as Loki (who looks nothing like Matt Damon in Dogma).

What’s that – you want more? Ok, how about we unleash Thor’s homebase? Sure – we can handle that…

This puppy shows off the Hall of Asgard, home of the Norse Gods. It also reveals Loki in the now famous horned helmet (far left); Frigga, Thor’s mother (played by Rene Russo), Hogun the Grim (Tadanobu Asano) and Fandral the Dashing (Josh Dallas). Odin also pops up again standing at his thrown with Thor on his knees in front of him.

And finally, we take a glimpse on the set of the flick from the show Richard Wilkins wishes he could host, Entertainment Tonight.
