This Week In Australian Cinemas… (December 3, 2009)

So it’s Thursday, a brand new batch of films are about to hit Australian cinemas and you can’t for the life of you work out which one you want to see and why. Well, that’s not your job is it… it’s ours.

So to save you the hassle and pain of thinking, we introduce the WATCH OUT FOR | MOVIES “THIS WEEK IN CINEMAS…. WEEKLY ROUND UP” giving you a quick, easy guide as to what to race to – and what to avoid like a Pauly Shore movie.

The big question is – what is good, what is crap, what will make you cry and what will (most importantly) allow you to get to second or (if you are lucky) third base with that guy or gal you’ve been crushing on all month long.

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE

Starring : Max Records and James Gandolfini. Director : Spike Jonze

Innovative director Spike Jonze collaborates with celebrated author Maurice Sendak to bring one of the most beloved books of all time to the big screen in Where the Wild Things Are, a classic story about childhood and the places we go to figure out the world we live in. A magical and fantastic film, one of the best of 2009, but won’t be to everyones liking and won’t exactly deliver what you expect. Read The Full Review

ZOMBIELAND

Starring : Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson. Director : Ruben Fleischer

Zombieland is an American post-apocalyptic, zombie comedy, written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and directed by Ruben Fleischer. It’s silly, it’s violent and it’s a lot of fun. Plus there is a cameo that has to be seen to be believe. Read The Review
