As if the idea of hosting a variety TV from one of the most depressing places on earth wasn’t bad enough, the following clips include some things you’re not likely to see anymore on TV, like Ernie’s heartfelt sing-a-long (it’s as if he thought “What’s the worst song I could sing to a bunch of prisoners, quite a few of which will most likely be here for the rest of their lives?”, and then sang it).

Add to this an uncanny number of homosexual jokes, as well as a free cigarette giveaway from Phillip Morris for all the inmates, and you’ve got yourself some good ol’ fashioned family entertainment!
