Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson makes his long awaited return to the big screen with this highly anticipated drama based on the best selling book by Alice Sebold, The Lovely Bones.
The Lovely Bones is the story of a fourteen year old girl from the suburbs who is murdered by her neighbour (who, as far as we know, isn’t Lou Carpenter). Somehow she tells the story from Heaven (wow, they have Broadband Skype EVERYWHERE these days!), showing the lives of the people around her and how they have changed all while attempting to get someone to find her lost body.

WHAT’S THE BUZZ
Despite having the nerds of the world on his side forever (or at least until they go ape-shit over how much they “Hate what they have done to The Hobbit“) - Jackson has been very clever to opt for something unusual and, by all accounts, surefire. Really, how can you go wrong with such an enormous built in audience… once they’ve paid for their ticket, do you think the studio really cares whether or not you actually enjoy it?
The biggest threat is the ommission of major plotlines from the book – and is often the case with book to film adaptions… there will be ommissions!

Not to break the somber “my daughter was murdered” mood, but by george, is this the most hideous collection of haircuts ever assembled on screen at the same time? We think so!
