Teeth and Tongue

In 2008 Jess Cornelius released Monobasic, her debut album under the moniker Teeth and Tongue. Over the past twelve months Teeth and Tongue has evolved into a full band with a grittier and looser sound. Consisting of Steve Masterson (Bird Blobs), Marc Reguiro-Mckelvie (Popolice), Brigitte Hart (Hot Little Hands) and Patrick Millman (Wicked City), the band ensures the mysterious beauty of Jess’ songs remains intact.

2009 saw Teeth and Tongue featured as a triple j Next Crop artist, perform at Falls Festival, tour with the likes of Ned Collette & Wirewalker, Jack Ladder and Kid Sam, and perform alongside The Duke Spirit (UK), Juana Molina (Argentina) and Jen Cloher.

Released in November 2009, single ‘Sad Sun’ is the first release from the newly-evolved Teeth and Tongue. Now available for digital download via iTunes, this is the first single from the band’s forthcoming album, due for release in 2010.

Don’t miss your chance to see Teeth and Tongue play four special intimate performances in Melbourne over the next fortnight.
