Brisbane indie-pop visionary Tara Simmons gives us a tantalising taste of her forthcoming second album with lead single Be Gone.
It’s a heady combination of pounding tribal drums, synth instrumentation and tasty tunefulness, produced by Simmons and Yanto Browning. It comes as no surprise that Triple J has already added it to their playlist.
B-side Honey is a haunting and delicately arranged piano ballad, which highlights Simmons’ vocal versatility and ability to craft songs from a wide sonic and emotional palette. On the strength of this single, Simmons can officially be declared a Name To Watch Out For in 2012.
