The Vaselines, Kurt Cobain’s favourite band (there seem to be a few of those floating around, but Cobain recently informed me that these guys are the one) are back with their first album since their 1989 debut Dum Dum. Yep, that’s quite a hiatus, but Glaswegians Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee have both been keeping their musical chops in the boiler in the interim, with bands including Eugenius, Suckle and Painkillers. And it shows on their new collaboration, Sex With An X.
