Martin Freeman, best known as “Tim from The Office” has been confirmed to play Bilbo Baggins in the long awaited prequel to Peter Jackson’s Lord Of The Rings trilogy entitled The Hobbit.

Simon Pegg posted on his official Twitter that Tennant had left the production. No reason was given by Pegg as to why / when the departure occurred – but he did reveal that the “Legend of Middle Earth and Skull Island has come aboard [Andy Serkis]” in Tennant’s place.
