There’s few men in this world that can drop the F-Bomb five times in one sentence and not offend any one – one of these men is Mr. Jason Mewes, better known as Jay from the loveable stoner duo Jay and Silent Bob.
This is, by far, one of the most “famous movies that never made it”. It was Superman, directed by Tim Burton, written by Kevin Smith… with Nicholas Cage as Superman / Clark Kent.
Det. Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) is a happy desk cop, he enjoys his paperwork and is constantly ridiculed by his co-workers, his partner Det. Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg) is sick of being stuck at his desk and despises his partner.
The only high point is Seann William Scott as the world’s most annoying cat burglar, and even his big scene is a throwaway one. Kevin Smith does a surprisingly good job as an action director, and if – somehow – you’ve never seen a buddy cop movie before chances are you’ll have a good time here.
