Strangelove is the, well, oddest character in the film, despite having the honour of the title; aside from his minute part, compared to that of, say, George C. Scott as the cocky, gum-chewing, all-American General Buck Turgidson, Strangelove is seemingly a mad Nazi scientist whose knowledge of nuclear weaponry is presumably the reason he was at the American War Room table at all.
