Melbourne lads Skye Harbour have been quiet these past few months, but there’s been no lollygagging, or dilly-dallying, or any other old-timey euphemism for laziness you can think of. It has all been in preparation for the release of their new single Hunch.
After the rock-electro detonation that was their last single Further Away (available now for free download on Triple J Unearthed), the band will unleash Hunch, an infectious, keys-tinged indie rock track that sees the guys in peak musical shape.
The more I look at it, the more impressive it appears.
Hunch and Further Away will both feature on Skye Harbour’s upcoming debut album, to be released later this year as the boys slave away in the studio, perfecting the record for their waiting fans. But you needn’t wait as long to see the lads in the rock and roll flesh: Skye Harbour will set out on the road to celebrate the single, pump out some live favourites and perhaps even debut some newbies….
