With two imminent releases, Sydney’s Parades and Newcastle’s The Seabellies will head out on a national co-headline tour next month.
Both bands have just put the finishing touches on their debut full-length albums: The Seabellies with the “cinematic sounding” By Limbo Lake, which was recorded with Wayne Connolly; and Parades with Foreign Tapes, an “expansive and ambitious” disc out through Dot Dash in early April.

As an added twist, the playing order of each band will not be decided until the evening of the show. The bands have also selected their favourite independent electronic artists to open the shows in each states, TBA.

I think parades are great, but seeing them headline sydney somehow made it more obvious that Seabellies are the superior band. Yeah they’ve been off the radar for a while but f*$#, I’m excited about their Album after seeing this gig.
