A source close to robotic French duo Daft Punk has revealed proposed tour dates for 2010, including dates in Melbourne and Sydney – according to Undercover.com. Well – that was until the rumours have since been debunked… but we were excited – here is what we were originally told.
It was revealed that after beginning in Paris, the proposed tour will shortly head on over to Australia, with shows in Sydney and Melbourne on the 22nd and 28th of August respectively.

Daft Punk - Looking as robotic as ever!
After figuratively setting stages on fire with their retro-futuristic dance tunes whilst piloting a pyramid spaceship, the two french men who caused so much fuss are set to do it all again – but this time even bigger!
From what we have experienced in the past, expect nothing like what you have ever witnessed before this time around…
Daft Punk – Proposed Australian Dates
22 August – Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney, Australia
28 August – Olympic Park Stadium, Melbourne, Australia
So there won’t be any Daft Punk in Australia for the time being – big woop – we just found out that they are creating the official soundtrack for Tron Legacy! Hell yeah!
