Get your B-Grade boots on, it’s time for the remake of the classic black and white monster flick The Wolfman…
Inspired by the classic Universal Pictures film that launched the legacy of horror, The Wolfman reclaims the myth of a man whose curse transforms him into something less than human. Lawrence Talbot, a carefree Londoner, is lured back to his family estate after the disappearance of his brother. Reunited in crisis with his estranged father, Talbot sets out to find his brother…but discovers an even more horrifying destiny for himself.

WHAT’S THE BUZZ
The movie has been pushed back more often than a red head in a nightclub line, which is never a good sign. There have been directors hired and fired, problems on set – it just doesn’t look all that promising really.
Add to that the fact that The Wolfman is old school noir and has to contend with Twilight lovers and the up-tempo English of Sherlock Holmes and you’ve got yourself, potentially, a middling cult success at best.
Admittedly, this second trailer has a lot more pace and punch than the first one that was released a few months ago (which looked like a 1998 Straight-To-DVD flick) but I’ve always felt that Entourage’s Vinnie Chase was more Benicio Del Toro than Mark Whalberg – and from all reports, this could very well be Del Toro’s Medellin.
That said, The Wolfman will be pushing the gore boundry (which immediately wins some points in my book) which could result in one of the most surprisingly enjoyable releases of the summer.
So let’s hope this one turns out OK.
WATCH OUT FOR
The varying degrees of CGI quality when it comes to “Man-Into-Wolf” transformations. What happened to the good, old fashioned Teen Wolf make-up… there was a brand you could trust!
