John Lennon Reborn As A Chipmunk? : Movie News

Will John Lennon and Yoko Ono become Jason Lee’s new chipmunk friends in the third Alvin & The Chipmunks live action film? Not likely – or is it?
Regular readers of WATCH OUT FOR will have noticed by now that we hold quite a large amount of love for The Beatles and anything Beatles related.
I’m also a rather large Kevin Smith nerd myself, so when news like this involving arguably the worlds most beloved Beatle (John Lennon) and Mallrats’ Brodie Bruce pops up… it’s hard to look away.

John Lennon is a Mallrat?
The folks over at Empire have let it slip that former My Name Is Earl star, Jason Lee, will be putting on his directors hat for the very first time to helm the new time travel adventure flick Get Back.
Get Back (based on the hit song by The Beatles) is the latest in a long line of time travel films getting the silver screen treatment at the moment – and by the sounds of it, there won’t be a wooden Eric Bana performance in sight here (I do love Bana, but as for The Time Traveler’s Wife… ouch) .
This latest one follows two music nerds (like all of us here at WOF) who are transported back to the 1960s, where one of them gets into a love triangle with John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
Sounds crazy… and kind of disgusting, right? Ewwwww…. Yoko.
The comedy is to be produced by Matt Berenson (the…uh… genius?… behind Daddy Day Care and Daddy Day Camp) with it still unclear as to whether Jason Lee will appear in the flick himself.
A perfect fit if ever we’ve seen one, so let’s hope he pops up in at least a few frames.
The big question will be whether or not any official Beatles songs will be used – as the flick will likely coincide with the release of “The Official” 3D CGI Beatles movie Yellow Submarine to be directed by fellow time-travel lover, Robert Zemekis.
In the meantime, while we wait to hear more, let us all enjoy some classic Jason Lee from Chasing Amy in which he finally asks a question we’ve all wanted answered at one time or another…

The author has written an excellent article. You have made your point and there is not much to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not argue with: Money cannot buy happiness, but it can at least pay for some new components. Thanks for the info.
