A long time ago in a shopping centre far far away…
No it’s not a sci-fi Christmas film, (which I admit would be awesome!) Variety has reported that Paramount will make a film titled Santa Wars based on the true events of a Santa Claus civil war.
Santa Wars : Attack Of The Drunks
The incident, which came to light on American radio show This American Life, involved two shopping mall Kris Kringle’s battling to be the supreme Santa, which eventually led to the creation of ‘the Amalgamated Order of Real Bearded Santas’.
If this doesn’t excite you enough, Mike White (who has done everything from writing for Dawson’s Creek, acting in various films and was also contestant on The Amazing Race) has been chosen to write the script and producer extraordinaire Scott Rudin, who most recently worked on Wes Anderson’s The Fantastic Mr. Fox…
