Announcing their Australian [and NZ] return are longtime genre-blending stalwarts Modest Mouse for headline shows this July that are sure to be an essential addition to any music lovers’ must-see list for 2011.

Modest Mouse

Modest Mouse’s extensive 18 year career has been on a constant upward trajectory since their formation in 1993. After developing a cult-like following with their earlier work, their 2004 offering Good News For People Who Love Bad News and its massive hit ‘Float On’ propelled the band further into full fledged stardom and primed the world stage for their most recent and immensely successful fifth album, 2007’s We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank.

In the years since, Modest Mouse have continued to cement their place as revolutionaries of the indie-rock genre, as the band recently were in the studio working with hip hop heavyweight and OutKast rapper Big Boi on a couple of new songs.
