Mad Max Fury Road and Mad Max Furiosa : Movie News

Mad Max was never a franchise that particularly struck me. It was one of those pop culture fads that came and died well before my time. Even in terms of “Retro-Chic”, it still hasn’t held the sort of clout that other 1980s franchises have.

But, you can’t keep a good (or Mad) character down, which is why Mad Max is not only coming back with one movie [As we reported Here]… but two!

According to Twitch, Australia’s George Miller is working on two new Mad Max films which will be shot back-to-back : “Mad Max – Fury Road” and “Mad Max – Furiosa“.

Mad Max is Back!

The role of Mad Max (originally played by Mel Gibson) is to be played by the tough-as-nuts Tom Hardy (whose break out role in Bronson shot him to fame), while Charlize Theron, Zoe Kravitz, Adelaide Clemens and Nicholas Hoult will also be part of the cast.
