It seems WATCH OUT FOR | COMEDY has gone a little Ricky Gervais / Stephen Merchant mad again after stumbling across their amazing Comic Relief “The Office : The Opera” skit, because this piece of news stumbled across our desk… and by gum it’s gotten us a little excited!
According to Chortle, everyones favourite Podcast trio are heading to the small screen for a new travel series titled Karl Pilkington’s Seven Wonders of the World [Watch the Sneak Peak Trailer Here].
In the eight part series to be filmed for the UK’s SKY1 Channel, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant will stay home in London monitoring their moronic friend Karl as he travels the globe.

Is This The World's Roundest Head?
The reason behind it all? Quite simple really according to SKY1 – “Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are outraged that Karl has written off the Seven Wonders, claiming they’re all “a bit shit’, ‘They’ve thrown down the gauntlet to send him around the globe to force him out of his comfort zone. Stephen wants the experience to broaden Karl’s mind; Ricky wants Karl to hate every minute of it for his own amusement.”
It is expected that Karl will visit the “Great Wall of China, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, Petra in Jordan, Machu Picchu in Peru, Chichen Itza in Mexico, the Taj Mahal in India and the Great Pyramids of Egypt”.
For those not in the know, Karl Pilkington (the bald headed one with no tact whatsoever) starred alongside Gervais and Merchant in their podcasts and seems genuinely unfazed by his potential adventures, saying earlier today “I can’t wait to get started. Not ‘cos I’m excited but ‘cos the sooner we start the sooner it will be over. The fact the nurse gave me an injection that protects me from dirty chimps put a dampener on the whole thing. I don’t think Ross Kemp has to have that injection”.
The TV adaptions don’t stop there, with the trio’s podcast is now set to be turned into an animated series for US cable channel HBO. A little too much stumbling going on at your office. Work + alcohol = always a good idea.
