Jeff Buckley To Hit Broadway : Music News

Jeff Buckley is set to join Green Day, ABBA and Queen on Broadway with his music set to score a new show based on Romeo and Juliet.

Michael Kimmel, a New York director and theatre professor began work on the musical, The Last Goodbye, three years ago and uses Buckley’s songs to tell the classic tale of ill-fated love that we all became so sick of in high school.

According to Kimmel: “Jeff’s music takes this idea of young emotion and passion to an entirely different level that we haven’t seen with the play before. What I love about the show is that it’s this great merging of a really strong writer and an amazing musician.”
