You would think after being beaten, burnt and body mangled for well over a decade now that the boys for Jackass would be more than happy to hang-up their stuntmen boots. However, it’s seems Johnny Knoxville & Co aren’t quite done just yet with Paramount and MTV Films set to begin filming Jackass 3 on January 25 of 2010, according to Variety.

Jackass 3 (to be produced by Where The Wild Things Are director Spike Jonze) will see the return of Johnny Knoxville (who, let’s face it, didn’t exactly set the world on fire with that “acting career” he kept on promising), Bam Margera and Steve-O to the uber low-brow and budgeted franchise which has raked in over $160M worldwide (at a cost of just under $20 million for both films). It has also been confirmed by Dickhouse Productions that “the new Jackass will be shot in 3D” with director Jeff Tremaine currently “conducting camera tests this week to ensure that the footage will look good”.

Also in the works is a 3D sequel to Sony hit Zombieland, which cost a mere $24 million to make and has gone onto gross over $84 million – with Australia yet to see the film and splurge their cash on it. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are working on the sequel’s screenplay while they wait to confirm the return of Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg… or that “Special Cameo” star which made the movie “the balls”.

But, until they get off the ground… let us all enjoy some classic stupidity!
