Melbourne’s own Gotye hasn’t wasted any time in releasing his next latest single Easy Way Out, doing so whilst pedalling his wares in the US while hit single Somebody That I Use to Know continues to top charts that don’t even exist!
The third single from the J Award winning album Making Mirrors, Easy Way Out – in a similar style of Thanks For Your Time - features Walter De Backer’s knack for quirky yet chillingly accurate insights into the mundane fundamentals of reality.
The clip was made by Melbourne animator/director Darcy Prendergast and his team at Oh Yeah Wow, who are also responsible for for Making Mirrors’ first single Eyes Wide Open.
“We completely disregarded ‘good business sense’ and created a piece of art that would hopefully leave the viewer’s cerebral cortex sliding down the computer screen. From a visual perspective, we wanted to bombard our audience with magic.”
What do you think?
