The nominations for the 2010 Golden Globe Awards (winners to be announced on January 17 and hosted by Ricky Gervais) have been revealed, and what an interesting mixed bag has delivered!
The Globes are always a good indicator of how Oscar season will pan out, but it holds far less prestige (it’s essentially the Logies, let’s face it!) and it seems that George Clooney could be headed for further Oscar glory with Up In The Air with at least five awards on the cards.
James Cameron’s Avatar also got an early nod for Best Motion Picture (Drama), however, the amazing Zoe Salandra somehow missed out on a best actress nod (she is amazing in it), yet Sandra “I’ve Got A Mans Face” Bullock gets a nod for The Blind Side. Tarantino is also in with a chance, with Inglorious Basterds also expected to take home a couple of statues.

George Clooney is Up In The Air
The big question is – how long will it take Ricky Gervais to make reference to the fact that he is hosting an Awards show which honours successful films… and how terrible his own film career is panning out?
Hmmm. A tough one! Until then, check out a summarised (in other words… the interesting ones) list of nominations:
