The dresses have been worn, the awards have been handed out, the diamonds have been sparkled and the press have been Hollywood…. Foreigned – yes, Golden Globe time is over for yet another year!

Not only did we find out who was the best of the best from the world of TV and Cinema, we also got a unique glimpse at what shows Australian commercial networks will choose to air after midnight, thus ensuring they can squeeze in another episode of Two & A Half Men or some “As Yet Untitled Jules Lund Project”.

In a time where Hollywood’s elite aren’t sure whether to show more remorse for Haiti or Conan O’Brien (I suppose it depends which PR department you employ and the country-by-country release dates of your next film), the glitz and glamour of an overly pointless Golden Globes Awards ceremony is always a nice way to brighten everyone’s day.

So there you have it for another year – the question is, do you agree? Should The Hurt Locker have taken out the big prize over Avatar? Was Downey Jr’s win a bit of a commericial cop-out? Is Grey Gardens the initial working title for the biopic about what lurks inside George Clooney’s underpants?
