What happens when people keep on complaining about how “Hollywood has run out of ideas” and “There are too many reboots” or “Way to many crappy remakes” of classic movies? Simple… studios just re-release the original content with an extra dimension. Such is the case with Disney’s Finding Nemo 3D.
Last year, Disney shut down it’s traditional animation studio (The Princess and the Frog the last of the “real drawings” epics), but re-opened The Lion King in 3D. The Lion King made $312,825,889 by the end of it’s run in 1995. But thanks to the 2011 3D reboot, it’s worldwide total added over $100M (it’s worldwide takings are now over $950M).

Beauty and the Beast 3D just opened strongly in the USA, so it’s no surprise Disney are dipping back into the catalogue. Finding Nemo is the second highest grossing Pixar flick behind Toy Story 3 – and now it’s back to reclaim its title as the biggest Disney animated feature of all time.
