Hey folks. As some of you may remember, we here at watchoutfor | music ran a competition to win tickets to see Datarock in concert. The conditions of entry stipulated that in order to win tickets, entrants had to graphically represent the name ‘Datarock’ in some way. Freedom to interpret this in any way was given, and extra points were awarded for those who displayed a creative flare.
While the competition is now over and the winners have been selected, we thought that we’d show you a couple of entries that we thought were particularly impressive. And who knows, hopefully this may inspire some of you for our further competitions here at watchoutfor | music.
This one was sent in from Warren. He’s gone for the wrestler theme here, which we think works pretty well!

This one was sent in from Ben, who appears to have gone for the more conventional, yet no less interesting interpretation. Well done Ben!

The last one here was one of the more complicated ones we recieved, with the budding artist named Cal choosing to not only depict rocks and computers (the data part of the picture), but has also incorporated the Datarock song ‘Computer Camp Love’ into it also. We think this one’s bloody amazing – even if a little creepy with the whole ‘Blair Witch’ overtones.
