It has been a hell of a long time since Mel Gibson showed his face on screen (in fact, his last non-director outing was the kids sitcoms Complete Savages back in 2005). So it’s not surprising to see that he is getting back on track with a ball-buster like Edge Of Darkness.
Mel Gibson : Sober And Not Ranting
It follows Gibson as homicide detective Thomas Craven who investigates the death of his activist daughter, only to uncover her secret life, as well as a corporate cover-up and some good ol’ fashioned government collusion that attracts an agent tasked with cleaning up the evidence.
It’s obviously not as fun as Leathal Weapon, but then again what is? At the very least, Edge Of Darkness might return some much needed cred to “Post-Racial Rant” Mel.

Mel’s scarily serious “Grandpa” hairline… as well as some of the best “I’m going to kick your ass” Mel Gibson face pulling since Payback.
