With only a week to go until their debut album Outlands is unleashed on March 16, Sydney five-piece Deep Sea Arcade are about to hit the road on a huge tour with Children Collide before supporting Kaiser Chiefs around the country.
Featuring radio favourite Girls and current single Steam, Outlands proffers a dark, cinematic world where kaleidoscopic pop songs illuminate the landscape. Paying homage to experimental cinema and the dystopian sci-fi films of the 60s, it’s one hell of an accomplished debut.
Touted as a band “to watch in 2012” by the Sydney Morning Herald and tipped by NME, it’s fair to say that Deep Sea Arcade have a big year ahead. Catch them on the road over the coming months:
