With the Australian Federal Election taking up the bulk of attention across the TV and the Internet, other political gems seem to slip under the radar.
Not just any gems… Chris Young sized gems!
This truly uncomfortable-to-watch clip comes courtesy of The Rhode Show (a local Fox News show in the States) and their new segment “Coffee with the Candidates”. On the surface it’s a great idea, helping voters get the chance to get to know their candidates running for elections and on a personal level.

Sadly, we get to know Providence mayoral race and Democratic candidate Chris Young a little too personally.
Look, there are many great viral videos – but I’m prepared to go out on a limb and suggest this may be the best one we will see for 2010.
It has everything you could ever ask for : a mad church goer, politics, pony tail, painfully awkward tv moments and a bubbly host who thinks she is about to get raped live on air within minutes of her serenade finishing.

The fun doesn’t end there – because a good campaign is never won until you look like a sensitive new age guy. I wonder how the TV presenter feels about Chris Young leaving her for another woman?
I wonder how the “other woman” could say yes? I think “Shheeeee – isssssss – looooooooost”.
