‘We heard tuesday nights are big in melbourne’ Last Dinosaurs frontman Dave McGann told the crowd early on in their set. Tuesday nights are usually just another night to endure before the weekend arrives, but on this particular Tuesday, it certainly was big. Last Dinosaurs had everyone at the Toff bopping their heads along with their good hooks and catchy melodies. No one in sight was standing still, I even caught the bar man swaying his hips to the beat of Time & Place.

I couldn’t have been happier than to spend my first gig of 2012 at Festival Hall with a band that has been a favourite since the release of their first album Inside In/Inside Out. Fans were spread from wall to wall chanting ‘we want Kooks’, welcoming the British rockers to a typical Aussie summer rock show.
