Danny Boyle is back, and he is better than ever! Following up the phenomenal success of Slumdog Millionaire (along with cult classics Trainspotting and 28 Days Later), his new film 127 Hours is set to take viewers to places they never knew were possible once again.

127 Hours is the new film from Danny Boyle, a man who is ofen overlooked as a visionary when it comes to folks banging on about the likes of Christopher Nolan and David Fincher, and follows the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston’s (played by “Can he or Can’t He Act” James Franco) remarkable adventure to save himself after a fallen boulder crashes on his arm and traps him in an isolated canyon in Utah.

127 hours

The flick follows Ralston over the next five days as he examines his life and survives the elements to finally discover he has the courage and the wherewithal to extricate himself by any means necessary… by scaling a 65 foot wall and hike over eight miles before he is finally rescued.

The only downside to such an intense story is, due to it’s existence, we probably know how it ends. Therefore – it loses that fear enducing thrill of Open Water, etc.

But with Danny Boyle at the helm, I don’t think we can’t expect anything less than perfection.

And just look at those colours! Outstanding!
